Memories

In an effort to get back into blogging, I have copied an idea from a friend. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

Fun to see you the other night! I remember once when I first met you and you were telling us about a date you were on, and you were sitting on the grass, and the comment, "you have a nice butt hole." Remember that? And how your boyfriend painted artichokes in all his paintings.

Oh, and how when I first started dating Jeff you warned me that he was a player and to be careful (that's Jeff's favorite!).

You were always so much fun and were so nice to me, even though I was just your little sister's crazy friend.

Okay Tiff, all the memories you mentioned on my blog were definitely some of my favorites, but I'll add a few more to the list.

How about that time when Jana and I stalked you? We wanted you to come live with us and we totally pressured you into it. I'm surprised you weren't totally creeped out.

Remember when we decided to go for a walk and we walked to Wal-Mart and on our way there a car drove by and asked us if we had any weed? Maybe it was meth. I can't remember the drug. Just remember that they were either wanting to buy some from us or sell us some, as if we looked like the type.

And last one, remember when you came with me to visit Grandma Bertie and to play cards and you did something "wrong" and she slapped your hand? I still laugh every time I think of that.

HA! I thought of Mary & me stalking you, too.

Wasn't it Coke?
"Hey, do you know where we can get some Coke?"
and innocent Mary, thinking coca-cola, yells back, "AT THE STORE?" (like, duh!?)

and as they sped off, they yelled back, "COCAINE!!!"

OK, I wasn't there, but that's how I remember you telling it to me when I got home. :)

And remember the time we were installing the ceiling fan and you had to hold it on your head until we went to Home Depot and bought more screws to replace the ones that probably still live in that super-shag rug? :)

Good times...

Or the time you & Mary decided that you needed some non-committal cuddling... and I think some of you non-committing cuddlers are married, now?
:)

Most of my memories from you come from spending summers at Grandma's house. Playing pool and ping pong in the pool room, climbing the tree out front of the house and swinging in the side yard. I remember walking to the little Plain City grocery store with you and walking back to grandma's house a little dog came out all yapping and running and we were scared.

I also know that you are a great story teller. TJ and I remember the story of your first day of school in Florida and a little girl asks you "is you a lil boy or iz you a guirl" its not the same written because you tell it with the best voices.

I also remember you helping out at our wedding reception - making parking signs and helping keep the candles on the table lit.

Joey and Tiffany! I stumbled across your blog through Tami Pace's and what a joy that stumble was! My best memory of you two was you showing up at the hospital to see us when Kailin was born...it was so nice of you!
I love these blogs...it will be nice to keep track of you! And did I read right, that you are pregnant with #2??? Congrats! What are the specifics???

I remember when Dani burnt her leg and you offered to bring in dinner. It was so nice of you to offer when you were so busy with the roadshows. Everything turned out great with Dani and I really appreciated your thoughfulness. Thanks so much!

Okay, Jana's memory of the whole drug incident is way better than mine. She's absolutely right that it was coke and not weed or meth. Super funny.

I have so many great memories with you!! I remember your alarm going off every morning with "Crazy Love" from Phenomenon. Listening to the "One Fine Day" soundtrack every day. Listening to you tell your red santa pajama date story over and over in the hall. Your catch phrase that year was "scooby." Working out with Cindy and ordering pizza from pizza pipeline. I remember you aced all the biology tests and Anna bombed them. Snowball fights and how cold you were that year. *sigh* That was a great year!!

Oh, where do I begin? How about dressing up in mom's clothes and choreographing commercials advertising our favorite products (e.g. 7-up)...or having you chauffeur me all over the place in high school in your stick shift car...oh, yeah, and the time you left me to roast in the high school parking lot waiting for you to finish making out with your boyfriend (kidding, Joey;) and I decided to start the car to get some A/C not realizing you had to hold down the clutch and I almost crashed into a pillar. That was fun!
I couldn't ask for a better older sister.

Okay, first of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Whoa, the big 30! In the same spirit, I'll never forget celebrating your birthday at nearly midnight in the center median divider of White Lane in Bako. So random! Why in the world did we do that? And number two, yippee for baby number two. And number three, um, I really need to see you before you move away again. It's just plain ridiculous. I'll try to plan a trip soon. Love J

So I've been here like 5 times, and never taken the time... but I think it's time I pay homage to the wind storm in Goblin Valley camping, getting diarrhea on my date with Nate because I was so freaked, you getting sucked in to the black hole of our apartment, walking to early Sunday meetings, photo shoot with Luesha, Moab trip, talking and talking, and most of all... laughing every time we were together! Love you! EM
